Job Description:
FIELD ASSISTANTS (2) needed for forest songbird research in Vinton Furnace State Experimental Forest in southeastern Ohio, from April to late June 2012. Duties will primarily consist of conducting point count surveys for a forest bird monitoring project. Additional duties will entail aiding to establish long term point count locations within the forested landscape. The stipend for the position will be $1500-$2000/month depending on experience. Housing is included.

Qualifications:
A valid state driver’s license and prior experience with identifying eastern North American landbirds by sight and sound is required. Applicants with experience conducting distance based and/or time removal surveys will be preferred.
