Workshop: Western Working Group-PIF and Meso American PIF

Objectives: The target audience is Partners in Flight – Western Working Group and PIF coordinators from the Meso American PIF group. However, this workshop is open to anyone with an interest in developing or participating in partnerships between the U.S. and Canada, and Central America.

There will be two sessions. The objective of the morning session is to provide a half day training in the Partners in Flight Species Assessment Process. This will be designed for the Meso-PIF group but anyone interested in the Species Assessment Process can attend especially representatives from South America. The afternoon session will be structured as a working group session with the main product being a discussion of a proposal for capacity building and bird conservation in Central America. This will be specific to the Meso-PIF group and the Western Working Group-PIF but anyone interested in moving bird conservation forward in Central America is welcome.

Morning Session: Partners in Flight Species Assessment Process Workshop

Afternoon Session: Partners in Flight WWG and Meso American PIF working session

Discussion of drafting a proposal for funding priorities, possibly including bird conservation projects, coordination meetings, country coordinators, species assessment, etc.
