The Ornithological Newsletter (ISSN
0274-564X) is published bimonthly (Feb., Apr., June, Aug., Oct., Dec.) by the
Ornithological Societies of North America. It includes society news, OSNA news,
meeting notices, employment opportunities, and other information important to
ornithologists. Membership dues in any OSNA Society include $3.50 for the cost
of publication. Separate subscriptions are not available.
Institutions may subscribe for $10.00 if they also subscribe
to an OSNA Society journal.
A complete,
electronic edition of the Ornithological Newsletter is
available (begun in August 1996).
In addition, each OSNA member society publishes its own
scientific journal:
The Flock
The Flock , the membership directory of The American
Ornithologists' Union, The Association of Field Ornithologists,
The Cooper Ornithological Society, The Raptor Research
Foundation, The Waterbird Society, and The Wilson Ornithological
Society, is intended for the personal use of the members
of the Societies.
The printed version of The Flock is published biennially
and is available for members to order when they renew their
memberships.
The online
version of The Flock is available to
OSNA members.
The directory is copyrighted and may not be reproduced in
whole or in part.
If a member wishes to conduct an extensive mailing, please
do not use this directory. Rather, to ensure that you have
a current mailing list and to avoid copyright violation,
contact the OSNA Executive Director for courtesy list rental.
The list is available for rental
to publishers and others promoting avian interests but not for solicitation of donations.
